Elizabeth Bonnet

pink_main2_325_mediumMy newest pattern is the Elizabeth Bonnet. This gorgeous heirloom bonnet combines cables  with a wonderful ruffle to beautifully frame baby’s precious face.
Perfect for cool weather; there are no yarn overs or open spaces. This is an excellent choice to keep baby’s head and ears warm and cozy.
This is also an excellent knit during the warm summer knits as it is small and easy to take along when traveling or enjoying time at the park.

Skill Level
Intermediate/Advanced – The cable section of the pattern is given in chart form only (with chart symbols explained of course). Charts are really a fantastic way to work cables! If you can knit, purl, and work a basic cable – you’ll be just fine! The bonnet construction itself is not difficult at all.

Kelly says of the pattern, “This was my intro to cables from charts! It seemed daunting at the time but wasn’t bad at all!! Great pattern!”.  You can see her bonnet here on Ravelry.

The pattern is available on Ravelry as well as at Amber Perry Patterns on Etsy. I hope you enjoy it and please send me pictures of your finished bonnet. Though I’ve been looking at the bonnet for months now I still am not tired of it and really enjoy seeing it in different yarns.  A true heirloom project!
